Tuesday Top 10 #3

I'm so excited to be back with another Tuesday Top 10 with items perfect for spring! I'm absolutely loving all the trends lately and can't wait to share them all with you! Let's get started:

tuesday top 10 #3

1. "Wish You Were Here" Sun Hat: I must say this would make for some great Instagram pictures... anyways though this would be so cute for beach days to keep your face protected from the sun and would even be cute with a sundress.

2. Silk Romper: I love not only the style of this romper but also the floral pattern, perfect for walking around the city or for a spring date.

3. Tassel Lace-Up Sandals: Lace up has been a huge trend for multiple seasons now and I love that these sandals would add a pop of color to any outfit.

4. Lilly Pulitzer 'Enna" Top: This is probably my favorite item out of the 10 and the one I'm most likely going to buy. Off the shoulder is super trendy and I love that this is white making it super versatile.

5. Heeled Sandal: These would be perfect with a dress or even jeans! They're a bit more fancy than a flat sandal but more causal than wedges, making them a perfect go to sandal for spring and summer.

6. Benefit Highlighter: Highlighting has been huge lately and this creamy highlighter will be perfect for the spring and summer months.

7. Mirrored Sunglasses: Mirrored sunglasses have been huge and I love that these aren't aviators. I'm a huge fan of tortoise shell sunglasses, so I'm obsessed with these.

8. Lace Up Heels: I love that these are super chunky and seem more comfortable and somewhat more causal than the pink pair due to the chunky heel. This nude color is much more wearable thank the pink and will even be good to transition into fall.

9. Tassel Beach Shorts: Tassels have also been huge lately and I love that these shorts incorporate the trend. They'd be perfect to throw over a bathing suit for a day at the pool or the beach.

10. Scalloped Bikini: Although this may give you some weird tan lines, it's still so cute. Not only do I love the color, but I also love that it's scalloped and a halter top.

OOTD: Happy Easter Every Bunny

Happy Easter everyone! I hope you all had a relaxing day spent with loved ones if you celebrate and if you don't I hope you had a lovely Sunday! Easter is one of the few days I really appreciate having a bunny because he is perfect for Easter photo shoots (lol). Although it wasn't as warn as I would have hoped, I still decided to wear a dress. Here's a look at my outfit with my bunny:

I just had to include this picture too

Dress: Marshall's
Shoes: Gap Factory similar

I love how simple and easy dresses are to wear. This dress has a neckline that doesn't even require a necklace, how much easier could it get?! I bought this dress without even trying it on and when I tried it on at home I was so glad I had bought it. Not to toot my own horn, BUT I think this dress fits me really well and really compliments my body shape. I'm not someone who loves tights dress so this dress is perfectly fitting -it's not too tight but it doesn't make me look like I'm wearing a potato sack. I'm going to add some dresses with the similar silhoutte and shape down below (I couldn't find any similar floral ones). I'll also add some similar shoes!TBH it looks like my skin hasn't seen the sun in forever, yikes. It's safe to say I can't wait for summer and for my skin to get some color ASAP.

The College Guide: Staying Motivated & Focused

Now that spring break is over, it can be hard to stay motivated and focused to finished off the semester strong. Personally, I feel like I've lost my motivation and find myself constantly procrastinating. Here are some tips I've come up with to help stay motivated and focused to finish off the semester strong:

1. Find a study space: this may be your dorm room when your roommate isn't in the room, the common room, the library, or another place on campus. Where ever it may be, it should be a place where you won't be distracted and some where you can go to stay focused on the work you need to accomplish.

2. Listen to relaxing music: music can help you stay focused or it can easily distract you. I find that listening to music I know all the words to actually distracts me because I find myself singing along instead of focusing on my work. I try to listen to calming music such as John Mayor, Jack Johnson, Lhe Lumineers, etc. There are plenty of relaxing spotify playlists to check out and I came across a coffee shop playlist that in obsessed with!

3. Make to do lists: making a to do list will help you figure out what needs to get done. Your to do list can range from things you need to do around your room to homework you may have. By writing it down you'll know exactly were to focus your time and will feel accomplished once you can check the items off. I got my super cute note pad in the picture above from Marshall's!

4. Check your grades: checking your grades can be extremely motivating. It'll either make you want to keep up the hard work if you have good grades or try that much harder if your grade could use some work.

5. Set time deadlines: setting deadlines for myself for when I want to get things done keeps me focused and motivated. Although I tend to always wait until the last minute, having a deadline for myself will help motivate me to get it done in a timely manner.

6. Reward yourself: this can be something as simply as rewarding yourself when you finish one assignment with a break or this can be something such as rewarding yourself with shopping if you get a grade you are after in a class. I think I might reward myself with Jack Rogers if I get all As this semester!

7. Write out your goals: this will help motivate you to accomplish your goals if they are written out on paper. It never hurts to set both long term and short terms goals to keep you motivated and focused on what exactly it is you want to accomplish.

8. Write down all your assignments: writing everything down in your agenda will help you not only remember all your assignments that are due but will also keep you focused on what needs to get done and when it needs to get done by. If for whatever reason you don't have an agenda yet, I've seen Lilly Pulitzer agendas at Marshall's lately.

9. Put electronics down: I'm not going to lie I'm terrible at this, however, I've found that if I put my electronics down I'll be more focused. I try rewarding myself with my electronics, for example I'll allow myself to check my phone only after I've doing a certain amount of an assignment.

10. Plan ahead: it can be hard in college to balance all your work and when stress piles up it can be hard to be focused on what needs to be done. If you plan ahead and know when you have time for each assignment, this will allow you to be focused on one thing without worrying about everything else.

I'm going to link some products down below to help you stay motivated and focused!

OOTD: A Late Start to the Morning

You know those days when you slept through your alarm, and not just once but multiple times? Yeah that was me this morning... & I was supposed to shower. After waking up late too many times to count, I think I've mastered throwing together an outfit and pulling myself together (to an extent). Here's what I wear on days I slept a bit too late:

Shirt: Boutique similar
Bralette: Urban Outfitters
Jacket: Gap similar
Jeans: American Eagle
Sneakers: Vans
Hat: Kiel James Patrick
Necklace: Amazon
Earrings: Forever 21

There's nothing I love quite like a plain white tee shirt, I'm guilty of wearing this shirt basically once a week. It's such an easy item to style in so many ways so I constantly find myself reaching for it and it's no different on days I wake up late. I love pairing a bralette under it for an added detail to a simple outfit.

I find myself constantly wearing jeggings. I don't know about you, but I'd actually rather wear them than leggings. Paired with the white shirt and bralette it's a simple and easy outfit for late mornings.

Lastly to accessorize I like to stick to my classic pieces, so I wore my monogram necklace and pearl earrings. I knew I'd get a lot of wear out of my vans slips on but I never realized I'd wear them this much. They really have become a staple in my wardrobe. Lastly, I finished the outfit with a hat because if I'm being honest my hair was looking pretty rough this morning. I've had this KJP hat since September and finally decided to wear it.

What's your go to outfit when you wake up late?

OOTD: Monday Vibes

I'm absolutely loving the sporty look lately and have been absolutely in love with joggers. What could be better than wearing sweatpants but still looking like you put some effort into your look? Here's how I style joggers for a comfy, causal day (perfect for Mondays):

Shirt: Forever 21 (I could only find it on the UK site)
Flannel: American Eagle similar
Jacket: Tilly's similar
Joggers: Marshall's similar
Sneakers: Nike

I've been looking for a graphic t shirt with gold font for awhile now, so when I saw this one that said "Please Not Today" in Forever 21 I knew I needed to buy it. This shirt basically sums up my life...everyday. It's perfect for days you're tired or not feeling your best but you still want to look like you put some effort into your look. A good way to dress up graphic t-shirts is to pair it with black jeans, a leather jacket, and ankle booties. I'll link some other graphic tees below!

I literally can't stop wearing joggers, I even wore them out one night... Joggers are ridiculously versatile and something every single person needs in their life. If you aren't the type of person who leaves the house in sweatpants, you need these in your life. I'll link some other jogger options below to check out!
