Summer Reading List & Recommendations

One of my favorite parts of summer is actually having time to read! It always amazes me when people say they don't enjoy reading because I find it a great way to relax and unwind. I love being able to escape reality with a good book. I tend to read young adult romance(ish) novels and recently I've been buying books that take place in Europe. To be completely honest, I'm trying to relive my moments abroad vicariously through books, but hey who can really blame me. Although I do love reading on my phone usually, it's not exactly ideal for reading outside in the sun, so I've been picking up some books from Barnes & Noble and Amazon. I'm hoping to have some free time this summer to sit back and relax by the pool or on the beach and enjoy reading a good book!

1. Love & Gelato: This book takes place in Tuscany so I knew I needed it in order to relive my days abroad in Italy! Can we also take a moment to appreciate how cute this book is?! I know you're not supposed to judge a book by its cover, but come on, how can you not?! I can't stop staring at this book on my book shelf!

2. Wanderlost: Okay so the title might be a little cheesy, but it sounds like a great plot involving a love story! Again, it's a book that takes place in Europe, but hey I told you from the start I'm on a current kick buying books that take place in Europe!

3. Capture Your Style: Although this isn't necessarily a novel, I couldn't help picking it up. Not only is it a great coffee table book, but it's a book all about Instagram!!! Written by blogger, Aimee Song, it's the perfect book to read to take your Instagram game to the next level and build your personal brand!

1. Bloom: Navigating Life and Style: Written by the popular beauty, fashion, and lifestyle YouTuber and Blogger, Estee Lalonde, this book explores multiple categories from a personal point of view. Although I've been watching Estee for years, I really think this book has something for everyone, no matter your interests. It explores topics including friendship, beauty, fashion, travel, and food. The book is written with such a sense of honesty that it is so relatable. It is written in short stories / sections within the different topics. I personally loved the fashion & travel sections so far! I still have to finish the food section, but I'm sure I'll love that part too!

2. #GIRLBOSS: I think everyone and their moms have heard about this book and there's a reason why. Similar to Bloom, the book is written with such honestly that it is not only relatable, but also so motivational. I don't know why it took me so long to talk about this book, but this is a must read! This is an easy and fast read perfect for the summer to keep you feeling motivated to be  a #girlboss.

3. Dirty Rush: Although I'm not in a sorority, I still found this book extremely entertaining and a quick and easy read. Whether you're in a sorority or not, I'm sure you'll find this book funny and entertaining.
