OOTD: Boyfriend Jeans & Pairs Under $100

Hello everyone! It's summer yet its still only 70 degrees in New England, but I guess the good thing is I can still wear jeans and not completely over heat. I may not have a boyfriend but I do have boyfriend jeans and that's basically the same thing right? Actually that's kind of a lie because these are supposed to be skinny jeans but clearly they aren't very tight. I was happy to see that looser and holey jeans were back in style because that meant I could finally pull these suckers from the bottom of the pile after owning them for years. I've decided to share with you how I style them and some other pairs of boyfriend jeans for under $100! Let's get started:

Fourth of July Outfit Ideas

Hello everyone! The Fourth of July is right around the corner and what could be better than the Fourth of July on a Saturday! Summer 2015 Blog Goals

Hi everyone! I hope your summer is going fab and you have exciting plans in you future! Today I've decided to share my blog goals for the summer this way you can see what's to come and I'll have something to look back on and set some goals for myself to try to achieve. Let's get started!

1. Post at least every other day! I want to get more active & have more content in order to promote my blog and keep people interested. Hopefully my posts will get better as the summer goes along.

2. Post 1 outfit post a week. I've really been slacking in this area, but I found a good background recently and a way to make self timer work. Hopefully this will motivate me to post more OOTDs.

3. Reach 4500 Tumblr followers. I think this is a goal I can achieve if I stay active and post my own photos. Hopefully the more Tumblr followers I have, the more blog views I'll get.

4. Reach 500 Instagram followers. This is similar to the last one, the more followers hopefully the more blog views.

5. Figure out and set up a bloglovin'. If anyone can help me with this, it would be greatly appreciated.

6. Get 50 views on each post. I'm setting this goal a bit low so it's achievable, but I figure some posts don't get that many views so this is a good amount to reach for. 

7. Receive more comments & make more comments on other blogs. I want my blog to be more interactive and to interact with other people. 

8. Have some collab posts. I think it would be cool to collab with some people in order to promote each other posts. And I'd love to make some blogger friends!

OOTD: My Go to Summer Outfit

Prep for Less: Statement Jewelry

Welcome back to my series Prep for Less, if you haven't seen my other posts in the series make sure to check them out! I know statement jewelry can be hella expensive, so my latest Prep for Less post is all about getting statement jewelry for cheaper! Statement jewelry is the perfect finishing touch to any outfit, it ties everything together and can be the perfect added touch. Statement jewelry can be rather expensive though for pieces that you may not wear everyday or even less than once a week. Since statement jewelry can be extremely bold, colorful, and over the top, therefore, I don't think you need to invest since if it isn't something you'll wear that often. Statement jewelry trends are always changing so there's no reason to spend a ton; of course if you are spending less, the quality won't be as nice but I think that's okay since the pieces aren't meant to be worn all the time. Here's some places I like to look for statement jewelry & some pieces that you can buy now (click the picture for links to shop):

FOREVER 21:

Forever 21 is my go to for statement earrings and necklaces. You can get statement earrings for under $10 and necklaces for under $20. Although jewels do tend to fall out, it's nothing a little glue can't fix. Luckily, their earrings don't bother my ears, but be careful if you do have sensitive ears.

CHARLOTTE RUSSE:

I honestly never really shop at Charlotte Russe, but while looking for necklaces for this post, I found a ton of great and inexpensive options! I actually recently stopped in after making this post and found 3 I loved & bought! Here's some of my favorites:

J. Crew Factory:

Although J. Crew factory jewelry can be expensive you can find it on sale and save some money. Although I don't own any, I assume the quality is much better than places such as Forever 21. I love all their jewelry but just don't have a store close. They also make great basic statement necklaces that can be added to tons of different outfits (examples at the end) Here's some of my favorites:

This isn't the most glamorous place what so ever, but surprisingly I've been able to find really cute necklaces for super, super cheap. Make sure to check in stores to see all the necklaces (website doesn't give them justice). I got a 3 pack of necklaces for only $7 that can easily be worn together or by themselves:

Recently, I've been finding adorable jewelry here and it's almost always under $10. It's not offered online so make sure to check in your local store.

Trend Watch: Tassel Bags & Clutches

I'm back to share another trend watch with everyone! This one is all about tassel bags and clutches. I think tassels are the perfect detail for any summer bag or clutch. Sophomore Year Dorm Decor Aesthetic

One of the reasons I'm most excited to move back into school is to decorate my dorm all over again! I'm trying to stick more to a theme this year with less random stuff and instead more matching. I wanted throw pillows last year, but never really got around to it. This year throw pillows are my focus along with wall art. I'm really excited to have a gallery wall next to my bed. My bedding is a light blue/grey color with yellow ascents so I've decided to add a pop of color of aqua and gold. I already have gold accents pieces from last year and I can't wait to add to it.
